Who We Are

Since 1992, Friends of Silver Falls have operated the Nature Store, now located in the historic log cabin near South Falls. From informative guidebooks to beautiful nature-inspired souvenirs, the Nature Store offers a diverse selection of products that celebrate the wonders of Silver Falls State Park. Our volunteers frequently serve as the initial point of contact for park visitors, and we enjoy making connections with individuals from across the globe.

What We Do

The store acts as a central hub for day-use visitors, providing an educational resource and an opportunity for volunteers and visitors to interact. The Nature Store plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Friends of Silver Falls in two significant ways:

  • Firstly, by offering a wide range of interpretive and educational products, the store helps to cultivate a strong bond between visitors and the park. These items serve as tangible reminders of the natural beauty and rich history found within the park, allowing visitors to take a piece of their experience home with them. By fostering this connection, the Nature Store helps to deepen visitors' appreciation for the park and cultivate good stewards.
  • Secondly, the sales generated through the Nature Store play a crucial role in funding educational programs, park projects, and various enhancements. By shopping at the Nature Store, visitors not only take home meaningful souvenirs but also actively participate in the preservation and enhancement of the park for future generations to enjoy.
